Andhra Pradesh rebooted its startup play with the Innovation and Startup Policy 4.0 for 2024 to 2029 and a flagship institution to carry it: the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub at Amaravati, with spoke centres in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Anantapur. Incentive applications route through the AP Startup One process on the APIS portal, and the state’s One Family One Entrepreneur mission signals how seriously it wants founders from every district.

Flagship support

Policy 4.0 incentive stack

The 2024-29 policy lays out startup incentives with defined claim timelines; recognised startups apply through the AP Startup One process on the APIS portal.

Ratan Tata Innovation Hub

A hub-and-spoke network anchored at Amaravati with five regional centres, running programs, challenges and partner connects statewide.

Open innovation challenges

Missions like AP-AER invite startups to solve live public problem statements, energy being a recent example, with support for winners.

Student and campus tracks

InnoTribe pushes innovation and entrepreneurship cells into colleges, and student ventures get grant routes once registered properly.

Who gets extra doors opened

Startup By Women

For women founders

Policy 4.0 explicitly extends supported access to women founders alongside BC, SC, ST, minority and differently-abled entrepreneurs, and RTIH programming carries that mandate into every regional centre.

Startup For Good

For startups solving public problems

Challenge programs pair startups with public problem statements, and the spoke-centre model means agri, aqua and coastal-economy founders far from the capital still get a door to knock on.
